URGENT Family law advice needed. Girlfriend is 5 months pregnant and we're in a bad situation, please read?
I am a 19 year old British citizen currently living in the U.K, My girlfriend is a 17 year old British citizen currently living with her mother in Luxembourg, Her father lives in the U.K, neither parent has sole responsibility over her. My girlfriend is 5 months pregnant, and her mother has demanded I travel from Luxembourg, where I was staying for 3 months at her house. I traveled back to the U.K from Luxembourg. My girlfriends mother is threatening that because I'm currently unemployed, without a house or private medical insurance, that she will put her name down on the baby's birth certificate when the baby is born and claim parental rights. She refuses to allow my girlfriend to travel back to the U.K and has gotten the Luxembourgian courts involved, The court date is in the autumn of 2010. no specific date is set. The courts are going to decide what will happen to my girlfriend and the baby. Whether she will stay with her mother. Or whether she will be put in a care home. I want my girlfriend and baby over in the U.K as soon as possible, and this whole event is very upsetting for both me and my girlfriend. What can be done to resolve this situation. I'm currently seeking work. I'm about to sign on with the job center for Job seekers allowance. Neither parent of my girlfriend is willing to grant her permission to travel. Her mother has stated that when the baby is born, she will claim parental control, She has also stated that I should not put my name down on the birth certificate because I don't have private medical insurance and the baby will be born in Luxembourg, My girlfriend is very upset by the whole situation and wants to be in the U.K with me. She wants to give birth in the U.K but feels her mother has her trapped. Please. Is there anything that can be done to help our situation ? Added information: - Her mother is addicted to sleeping tablets, She smokes weed, She works in the European court of Justice as a translator, She lives in a 5 Bedroom house with 4 Children (18 year old son, 17 year old daughter [who is my girlfriend], 16 year old daughter, 14 year old son), She has a lot of guests who stay in her house for long periods of time and sleep in the bedroom/basement the longest staying guest also smokes Weed, Her mother has been married twice divorced to both, first one was an abusive rapist, Second was a violent alcoholic. What information I have given I assume if brought up in court her mother would deny many of these claims.

LEAVE YOUR GIRLFRIEND AND CHANGE ADDRESS. TRUST ME, IT'S FOR THE BEST. YOU DON'T WANT TO BE LOOKING AFTER A BABY AND PAYING CHILD SUPPORT. SHIT MAN, WHY DID YOU GET YOURSELF IN THAT SITUATION IN THE FIRST PLACE?
2 :
Run fast and get a job when you have one you can do a lot of things like getting medical insurance, a house and be able to take care of your family.

What can I do to help my daughter

What can I do to help my daughter?
My family and I are Irish from Co. Kerry and have lived in Luxembourg for the past 2 years. My 3 kids all go to the European school, where I work. The youngest two are very happy there and get on well with learning the french and are very good at it. But my oldest daughter (she's 15) is EXTREMELY unhappy. We stay in Ireland during the summers and at the beginning of the summer she told me she did not want to go back to Luxembourg, but I didn't take her seriously. Then when the year started (our 3rd year here) about a week ago, she refused to go to school and locked herself in her room. She won't eat dinner with us and she stays awake all night waiting for us to go to sleep while she then goes up to get food. She tells me that her problem is the french because she has to do history and geography in french also, and she says all the other kids laugh at her because she has an english accent when she speaks french. She also tells me she misses Ireland very very much and she just wants to go back to Ireland. I want to send her home because I can see she is truly unhappy. My problem is that I don't know where to put her. I can't ask any of our relations to take her, because they wouldn't take her and even if they did I know they'd only do it under pressure. I don't have enough money to send her to a boarding school and I don't have the means to borrow money. She can go to the European School for free because I work there. I've tried speaking to a counseller, and she says that she must be being bullied, I have asked my daughter and she insists she isn't, and judging by what other teachers have said I think that's true. I really want to send her home because I'm afraid she'll get ill if this continues. The school have been asking where she is, and I've told them she's sick. I just need to find a place she can stay until July, because after a year my husband, who has a job which he has taken leave of absence from, said he will return to work so we can buy another house and him and her can live there until I and the rest of my children return to Ireland, as we will have to do eventually. Is there any families that would take her in for just a year, or any way of getting a grant for a boarding school? Is there any way she can be home-schooled without hiring tutors? My husband truly has no idea about education and I cannot teach her because I'm at work all day. Please help me, I really have no idea what to do.

Maybe she could stay home and finish school in an online school. They have one here for free in the states, you might have a similar option where you are. Good Luck.

Are you certain that your relatives feel that way? Have you spoken to any of them about how unhappy your daughter is? Does your daughter have any close friends in Ireland that may be willing to let her stay with them while going to school? Since you are talking about just a few months, perhaps one of her friends could let her stay with them while going to school. I have no idea what the home school laws are where you are living. I would definitely look into what the laws are & how you can make your daughter happier while also abiding by the law. Home education sounds scary at the beginning, but it is do-able, especially considering the age & motivation of your daughter. There is a wealth of educational resources available to anyone through public libraries, internet libraries & websites, and mentors within the community. Is she dealing with an eating disorder? Or an anxiety disorder? You may want to delve more deeply into the cause of all of this unhappiness & refusal to be present during family mealtimes. I would recommend you be honest with her. Tell her exactly what you have written here. Maybe she needs to know the truth about your family's situation & about how much you all want to help, even though you are unsure how to proceed. It may help her understand that her unhappiness is a finite problem. She is not going to be stuck in that school forever, things will get better, but like everything else it takes time.

2008 Golf Masters Live Videos

2008 Golf Masters Live Videos?
I have a question concerning the 2008 Golf Masters in Augusta. I have tried several sites where live videos, but everytime it says the videos are not available for my area. I live in Europe/Luxembourg. I guess that the way they "detect" that the videos are not available for my area is my IP address... I know there are several programs on the net that hide your IP....would that work? Does anyone know where I could see the live videos from the tournament?? Thank you!! Jo

Interrail, Amsterdam to Italy

Interrail, Amsterdam to Italy.?
Me and my friend are travelling from Amsterdam to Luxembourg, Luxembourg to Germany, Germany to Switzerland and then a flight home from Milan, Italy. We are spending about 3 days in the capital of each country. I am wanting to no if it would be cheaper to buy train tickets whilst travelling or to buy an Interrail pass. I am aware that there are charges on top of Interrail pass and can work out more expensive. Thanks for any help.

Have you thought about flying? EasyJet and RyanAir are really cheap to fly in Europe!

The only way to work out what is cheaper is to find train tickets on the days you want to travel and compare them to the price of the InterRail pass you want to buy. You will also have to think about getting reductions because of your age (if you are younger than 26,) and the fact that, for the cheapest tickets, you will have to buy tickets for a certain date and will not be able to change your plans. Netherlands to Luxembourg you can find on this site: http://www.nshispeed.nl/en A good site for travel from and to Germany is: http://www.bahn.de/international/view/en/index.shtml For Switzerland this is the site: http://fahrplan.sbb.ch/bin/query.exe/en And for Italy: http://www.ferroviedellostato.it/cms/v/index.jsp?vgnextoid=3fdbe14114bc9110VgnVCM10000080a3e90aRCRD A good overall site, with a lot of information, is the man in seat sixty-one: http://www.seat61.com/ And last but not least, the InterRail site: http://www.interrailnet.com/ Read the FAQ, specially if you plan to use a flexi pass. You do not write where you are from, so remember that InterRail is only for European residents and in your own country where you buy it you will still have to pay (part of) the fare. If you are Dutch, it will cost you 50% of the fare, and if your station is like mine, รข‚¬3,50 cost on top of that. For me it was worth it to buy an InterRail pass, even when it may have worked out a bit more expensive, because of the flexibility. In some countries you can use the high speed trains at just a reservation fee, in others you have to pay a surcharge, but if you have the time you can use the normal trains without having to pay big surcharges. The German website I mention above is good for finding the normal trains, choose 'no ICE' or something like that, on the second page or when you have a journey and select 'new travel.' The fees that you have to pay for a seat in an overnight train are not too big. But even if you pay for a couchette you will likely not pay more than you would for a night at a hostel.
